Attempting to achieve justice through the law in apartheid South Africa and today
Wim Trengrove
This session explores how the focus of public interest litigation has changed from under apartheid to now. Essentially, it will deal with the kind of strategic and other challenges that public interests lawyers faced under apartheid and whether the same or new challenges exist now. Further, it will look at how the experience of lawyers under apartheid can inform the actions and approaches of lawyers now.
